Award-winning artist and writer, Sandra Yuen received a Fine Arts Diploma from Langara College and a Bachelor's degree in art history from the University of British Columbia. Besides being an acrylic painter, she also has designed book covers and layouts and illustrations for magazines. Her artwork can be found in private and public collections in Canada and the United States. In her Flower Power series, her work expresses a joie de vivre, optimism, and beauty. She uses an intense palette and bold strokes. Fuchsias is influenced by the floral paintings of Georgia O'Keeffe and the hot colours of Andy Warhol's Pop Art.
