Gwynne Giles is an emerging artist whose work is in collections in both North America and Europe. His naive, two dimensional art is executed in primary colors. Stylistically his paintings are measured, precise and in some cases geometric. Gwynne’s last show ( Artist Project 2014) was titled ‘ The Experimental Exhibition’ mainly because of the new direction he has taken using explosions of color - and an extended range of subject matter. Enhanced finishing techniques for each painting give a new vibrance to his pieces. His art has been described in style as new and primitive, but with an extraordinary degree of execution. To achieve the harmony that he creates involves carefully measuring the placement of each object in a painting. One of his trademarks, is very straight even lines.
